I am sorry to be late with this but I was away from home and computer for a week. My self-publishing goals are very simple. I wish to reach many more people than I do at the moment and get feedback from them. I really do need help with the six stages of self publishing as I am totally ignorant about this. I would also like to develop a relationship with, for example, an editor as I feel this could be very interesting and rewarding. I found this first section of the course very eye-opening and learnt things that I really didn’t know about before.
Hello everyone, I am Janet Baudevin, English but living in France and married to a French man, hence the French name. I’ve been writing on and off virtually all my life but never really had the time to devote myself to it seriously. I’ve retired from my own business now. I had a shop where I sold my paintings, painted furniture and giftware, but I have stopped doing this now, which gives me more time. I published a novel on KDP ‘A Horrible Quilted Jacket’ which is the story of the wearer of said jacket who manages to turn her life around. Although I’ve received favourable comments I didn’t know how to publish and market it properly so it has never really taken off. I joined the course in the hope of making this happen.
